This role involves leading the development of test cases, scripts, and executing tests for both mobile applications and web platforms that interface with various IOT devices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee quality assurance initiatives by crafting comprehensive test cases and developing automation scripts for new functionalities and regression testing.
  • Establish and refine processes related to test automation, implementing industry best practices in collaboration with the Quality Engineering and Development teams.
  • Engage actively in Agile methodologies, including Scrum meetings, Daily Stand-ups, and Sprint planning to facilitate quality assurance activities.
  • Review user stories for new features, generate test cases, and automate testing processes while supporting regression testing efforts.
  • Manage the entire scope of assigned tasks, which includes the development and review of test cases and scripts, along with requirements traceability analysis.
  • Design test schedules and strategies, and create, execute, and maintain detailed test plans.
  • Compile and summarize test results, providing thorough traceability and bug reports to aid in decision-making.
  • Adhere to security protocols and health & safety regulations, ensuring confidentiality while keeping abreast of industry developments.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in test automation for web and mobile applications.
  • Proficient in JavaScript as a programming language.
  • Strong expertise in the Playwright automation framework and familiarity with continuous integration tools such as Jenkins and Azure DevOps.
  • Experience in developing test cases, test plans, and generating test reports, along with knowledge of relevant testing tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications in Quality Assurance.
  • Experience in automating tests for cloud-based applications and middleware.
  • Background in agile testing methodologies and hardware testing automation.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Familiarity with Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) methodologies and tools.
  • Experience in the IOT sector.
