Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Heavy Civil Construction and be adept at managing all aspects of construction projects from inception to completion.

Responsibilities:

  • Planning and Scheduling: Develop and manage project schedules.
  • Monitor Field Progress: Ensure projects are on track and meet quality standards.
  • Job Cost Coding and Estimate Management: Manage project budgets and cost estimates.
  • Oversee Vendor and Subcontractor Agreements: Negotiate and manage purchase orders and agreements.
  • Review Costs and Billing: Oversee costs, billing, as-builts, and change orders.
  • Project Close-out: Ensure successful project completion and close-out.
  • Technical Knowledge: Utilize Project/Primavera knowledge for effective project management.
  • Client Relations: Maintain positive relationships with clients through regular updates and effective communication.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Compliance: Ensure all projects comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor project teams, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Resource Allocation: Manage and allocate resources efficiently to ensure project success.
  • Quality Control: Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure high standards.
  • Documentation: Maintain thorough project documentation and reporting.
  • Problem-Solving: Address and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the project lifecycle.

Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience as a Project Manager in Heavy Civil Construction.
  • Thorough understanding of standard construction practices, processes, and methods.
  • Excellent computer and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
