Job Title: Project Materials Supervisor

Reports To: Material & Logistics Manager

Summary: The Project Materials Supervisor is responsible for arranging the material flow to support the manufacturing process through our build site. Responsible to maintain material requirements and quantity available within the ERP system as well as various other sites.


Responsibilities:

  1. Lead employees through effective communication, orientation, coaching, training, and development. Communicate areas of accountability and performance expected of employees. Recommend hiring, salary adjustments, transfers, discipline, promotions and dismissals in consultation with Human Resources
  2. Manage/Supervise the day to day activities for both material coordinators/material handlers at satellite integration and build facilities
  3. Manage/Supervise and work with Crib Attendants at Integration facilities to maintain required levels of project material and inventory levels
  4. Manage/Supervise vendor supplied inventory/consignment with the Supply Chain Group to ensure vendors adequately supply manufacturing requirements
  5. Review various material reports to verify requirements to identify overdue/unreceived/not picked materials (Inventory Value, Received not Picked)
  6. Identify non-conformance materials based on customer specifications and requirements.
  7. Works strategically with Project Management as well as Business Unit Managers on various customer projects; ranging from small kits to large systems
  8. Facilitates movement of materials from various warehouses to internal Build and Integration, as well as external customer facilities.
  9. Overall responsibility for the material activity with the plant.
  10. Plan, organize, direct, and control material to ensure on time project completion and customer satisfaction
  11. Leads and facilitates various financial and compliance audits. May include cycle counting as well as physical counts if obligatory
  12. Responsible for corrective actions pertaining to AX related processes
  13. Manage all job to job transfers/creating demand for all needed items
  14. Escalate project material challenges through proper channels working within various departments to resolve
  15. Ensure completion of production orders per department
  16. Adhere to company policies and procedures
  17. Ensure compliance with safety procedures
  18. All other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  1. 10 years related work experience
  2. 5+ years of supervisory experience preferred
  3. High School Diploma/GED
  4. Experience with an ERP System, Microsoft AX preferred
  5. Experience with the production control component of an ERP system
  6. Ability to multi-task, while maintaining organization
  7. Ability to lead a small group
  8. Strong computer skills
  9. Strong written and oral communication skills

Work Environment: This position operates in both an office and a shop environment.

Physical Demands: The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, bend, and twist. Frequently required to lift/push/pull up to 50lbs.

Expected Hours of Work: This position regularly requires daily overtime hours and frequent weekend work.

Travel: This position requires less than 5% out of town and overnight travel. Travel in-between various Paslin facilities required

Direct Reports: All satellite Material Coordinators and Material Handlers report directly to this position
