JOB SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for preparing customer orders by processing requests according to the bill of materials; pulling parts; preparing parts for shipment and stock incoming materials.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • View data on computer. Locations, on hand quantities, and prints, etc. Enter data into computer. Receive shop orders and print labels.
  • Verify receipts / entries against shop orders / packing lists, purchase orders for count accuracies.
  • Review and verify orders and data for location, quantities, prints, etc.
  • Count/verify stock for accuracy on a consistent basis
  • Pull parts for shipment to customers. Stock incoming materials to proper locations. Use weighing scales, power and hand lift trucks.
  • Must be highly efficient and effective with a 98 % accuracy rate when pulling shop orders. Based off of various factors. System qty compared to pull qty, correct part number pulled, correct qty pulled and system follow up for any discrepancies prior to shop order being released.
  • Process shortage material for released shop orders per procedure.
  • Gather production materials and parts needed from Bill of Materials or Material Requirements List and deliver to user department or staging area.
  • Keep work area, in a clean, safe and orderly fashion. Remove empty cartons, containers, packaging, dispose of properly. Consolidate multiple open containers into one whenever possible.
  • Work safely at all times and comply with safety rules.
  • Work with hard copy shop orders when pulling materials. Keeping them neat and in order.
  • If material is physically located outside of system location or hard copy shop order location. Material must be put in the proper location.
  • Other duties/responsibilities as directed by the Manager.

MINIMUM EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years of related experience, preferred

ADDITIONAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Computer skills with a proficiency in Windows-based programs
  • Ability to work in team environment
  • High attention to details
  • Ability to lift up to 75lbs


PROTECTIVE CLOTHING/EQUIPMENT:

  • Steel-toe shoes
  • Eye protection
