Location: Detroit, MI | Compensation: $29-$33| Schedule: 3-4 days per MONTH| 12-month ongoing position

What to expect:
This is an ongoing position for a Quality Mechanical Inspector. Once on the team, you will be deployed through SQA’s operations center based on client needs and each supplier’s production schedule. Additionally, you will also be added to SQA's database as part of an elite group eligible for additional projects in the future. We are looking for a Quality Inspector to perform inspections on various sizing mechanical parts and composites with a wildly renown aerospace company. This position involves travel between two or more suppliers in the greater Chicago, IL, area. Travel reimbursement in the form of mileage and Portal to Portal will be provided, as well as lodging if needed. This is a 12-month ongoing position, working 3-4 days per MONTH. Following the completion of this position, you will be added to the SQA database and get first priority for similar positions in your area moving forward.

What you will be doing:
You will be conducting precise mechanical inspections at various client-supplier sites primarily in Chicago, Illinois, and surrounding areas.
In-process and final source inspection of composite and mechanical parts.
Read and interpret standard manufacturing drawings based on industry and commodity standards

What you'll need:
Knowledge and hands-on experience working with various inspection tools (i.e. calipers, micrometers, height gauges, thread gauges, etc.)
GD&T experience is required
CMM experience (but not necessarily CMM programming experience).
CMM programming experience is a plus
Due to the nature of the products, US Citizenship is also a requirement, and background checks are required.


Pay range:
