Our client is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Documentation Specialist to join their dynamic team. This role is pivotal in converting hard copy documents into digital formats and enhancing the digitization processes. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in document management and digitization, and be adept at using technology to improve efficiency and accuracy. This work can be done on a partially remote schedule, with two days per week remote and three days per week onsite in Richmond, Virginia. 

Responsibilities:

  • Document Conversion: Convert various types of hard copy documents into digital records, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company standards.
  • Process Automation: Continuously assess and improve digitization processes using automation tools.
  • Project Support: Provide support on team projects, collaborating effectively with colleagues to meet project goals.
  • Process Improvement: Regularly make suggestions for improving existing processes to enhance workflow and efficiency.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with team members, sharing knowledge and supporting ongoing projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a similar role, specifically as a Documentation Specialist.
  • Strong familiarity with document digitization tools and processes.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and maintain high levels of organization.
  • Proficient with technology, particularly document management systems and automation software.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent work ethic and a high degree of dependability.
  • Strong team player with the ability to also work independently.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Problem-solving skills and proactive approach to challenges.

Additional Requirements:

  • Able to travel to the office in the Greater Richmond, VA area three times per week.
  • Flexible and adaptable, willing to support other areas as needed.
