Seeking a Full-time Pediatric Neuropsychologist. Are you looking to find a purpose-driven culture with a team dedicated to making a positive impact everyday? Ability KC is the place for you

Ability KC, a nationally recognized comprehensive outpatient rehabilitation facility and leader in value-based care, is pleased to announce that we are hiring for a full-time neuropsychologist position. We provide a continuum of services to pediatric, adolescent and adult populations with complex stroke, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury/disease, and other neurological and congenital disorders. We have a strong network of referring neurologists in the community requesting outpatient neuropsychological assessment.

Ability KC is a CARF accredited medical rehabilitation service program which includes intensive outpatient day program though single service outpatient medical rehabilitation, with most frequent diagnostic categories of stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, and amputation. The neuropsychologist provides brief neuropsychological screening when working with the treatment team to inform rehabilitation care, with comprehensive neuropsychological assessment offered in assisting with community integration and continuing recovery. The neuropsychologist is an integral member of the medical rehabilitation team.

We are interested in individuals who would like to engage with program development and rehabilitation team consultation. As well as possessing a strong background in TBI, pediatric/adolescent stroke, congenital disorders and SCI/D, we are strongly seeking individuals with experience in assessment and interventions with children and adolescents with autism. Department staff psychologists work with staff social workers on family education and support programs and services. Neuropsychologists are provided psychometrician support. For interested candidates, there are additional opportunities for research development and training/supervision of doctoral students in area programs.

The position offers an ideal opportunity for early and midcareer professionals seeking to expand knowledge and expertise in medical rehabilitation. We have a departmental goal of diversifying our clinical practice to include novel assessment paradigms and to increase efficiency of neuropsychological assessment.

Applicants must have attended an APA accredited psychology program and have a Ph.D. or Psy.D., and be MO licensed or eligible for MO license in psychology, with completion of applicable postdoctoral training. The applicant should have experience in working with an interdisciplinary rehabilitation team.
