Vessel Welder

Pay: $22-25/hr. (Depending on experience)

Hours: Day & Night Shifts

Job Type:  Temp to Hire

Location: Sapulpa / Catoosa, Oklahoma

Test: 3G Plate Mig and Flux Core

Must have 2+ years welding experience & read and interpret blueprints.

Job Description:

The vessel welder will assemble pressure-containing vessel equipment and components according to ASME Code.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Setting up and executing Quality Code Welds and Nozzle/Branch Welds with Radiographic Testing (RT) and Ultrasonic Testing (UT).
  • Performing Carbon Arc Gouging and welding repairs using UT or RT methods.
  • Cleaning and stamping welds.
  • Setting up and operating non-code vessel welds.
  • Layout and fitting of vessel components.
  • Performing Oxy-fuel cutting/burning.
  • Reading drawings, Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), and Procedure Qualification Records (PQR).
  • Leading tasks, planning ahead, and using Penetrant Testing (PT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), UT, and RT methods.

Qualifications include a high school or vocational school diploma, passing a qualified Welding Test, and experience with ASME/ANSI Codes and in an ISO 9000 environment is preferred. The role also involves solving problems, repairing defective products to high-quality standards, and ensuring all work meets specifications.
