The Law Office of Kevin R. Hancock, LLC, is seeking an associate attorney. We are a small law firm in North Colorado Springs helping clients primarily in estate planning, probate and estate administration matters.

Primary Responsibilities will include:

· Meeting with, interviewing and establishing a good relationship with pribate clients

· Representing and advising clients in probate matters

· Drafting, revising and editing probate documents, including petitions, probare forms, deeds, and other documents

· Providing support for senior attorney in other matters, as needed and requested

· Communicating with clients concerning probate matters

· Responding to client questions about scheduling, billing and other administrative matters accurately and timely

· Answering and screening telephone calls and responding to client questions

· Scheduling appointments and managing probate calendars and deadlines

Skills/Abilities:

· Excellent verbal communication skills

· Excellent writing, drafting and editing skills

· Detail-oriented and excellent organizational skills

· Proficient in Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Outlook, Excel, etc), scheduling, and file management

  • Resourceful, and proactive
  • Professional attitude and appearance
  • Good sense of humor and team player

Job Qualifications/Experience:

· JD (Required)

· License to practice law in Colorado (Required)

· Legal Experience: 1-3 years (preferred)

· Notary (preferred)

I practice primarily in estate planning and probate in Northern El Paso County, Colorado, but I practiced over the last 16 years in business law, civil litigation, real estate, bankruptcy, administrative law, family law, estate planning and probate. In the last several years, my practice has experienced a significant growth in estate planning and probate, and I am looking for an attorney who is willing and able step in to help with the clients and volume of clients we have generated and continue to generate, as well as to plant roots and grow in the North Colorado Springs and Monument community we serve.
