Job DescriptionJob Description

Excel Electric is hiring an industrial electrician to work in the Kings Mountain and Gastonia, NC area. This candidate must be self-sufficient and self-motivated. Master or Journeyman license preferred, but not necessary. Must be customer service oriented and have a willingness to work long hours or weekends, occasionally.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Organize work by receiving and studying work orders, gathering tools and supplies; completing all job related paperwork.
  • Installation of new electrical distribution systems, from service entry all of the way down to lights and receptacles. This includes EMT and rigid conduits, wireways and cable trays.
  • Installation of new industrial equipment, including power and controls, per manufacturers specifications and drawings.
  • Diagnose electrical problems by studying diagrams, manuals, and specifications; troubleshooting systems; conducting tests.
  • Repair electrical problems by replacing faulty parts and components.
  • Maintain electrical systems by conducting system tests; completing preventive maintenance requirements.
  • Maintain a safe work environment by following OSHA standards and procedures and complying with codes.

Requirements:

  • Troubleshooting, Problem Solving, Planning, Equipment Maintenance, Safety, Technical Understanding, Attention to Detail, Quality Focus, Customer Service, Thoroughness
  • Must be willing to work in all elevations of the plant, in cold and hot environments, and in tight spaces.
  • Must have the ability to operate forklifts, and vertical lifts.
  • On call.
  • Overtime.
  • Weekends as needed.
  • Job Type: Full-time

Experience:

  • Electrical installation and troubleshooting: minimum 5 years (Required)

Work Location:

  • Kings Mountain and Gastonia, NC
  • Company Vehicle provided

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • On call
  • Overtime
  • Weekends as needed

License/Certification:

  • Driver's License (Required)

Ability to Relocate:
