California Specialty Pharmacy (CSP), a California based company, has an opening for a Pharmacy Manager. In the Specialty Pharmacy, the pharmacy manager is responsible for ensuring coordination, quality, and cost-effectiveness of pharmacy operations. It is the responsibility of a pharmacy manager to work with a pharmacy operation team to achieve and maintain goals, objectives, and standards of practice to ensure optimal results are achieved.  

Skills and qualifications:

·         Pharmacist license from the California State Board of Pharmacy current and active.

·         A minimum of 1-2 years' experience in management is preferred.

·         The capability to manage individuals' performance according to quantitative metrics without compromising clinical outcomes.

·         The ability to be highly motivated, a team player with excellent attention to detail.

·         Knowledge of contemporary specialty pharmacy practice and healthcare requirements.

·         Demonstrated organizational and leadership skills.

·         Excellent communication and interpersonal skills  

Roles and Responsibilities:

·         The pharmacy manager is responsible for the coordination and management of all pharmacy services in accordance with state and federal regulations and policies.

·         Ensures services are provided with high quality and are cost-effective.

·         Responsible for financial aspects of specialty pharmacy services in collaboration with senior management.

·         Implement strategic growth initiatives with regional leadership teams, including new clinic launches, workflow changes, and other initiatives.

·         Support the leadership team in hiring, training, staffing, and staffing growth, maintaining staffing quality, and implementing performance appraisals.

·         Assist in overseeing the accreditation of specialty pharmacies (BOP, ACHC, URAC, etc.). Comply with all applicable government regulations, including the HIPAA law.

·         Manages and coordinates multiple projects, performs pharmacy services while overseeing pharmacy staff.

·         The ability to interact constructively with leaders, peers, and support personnel.

·         Assist and supervise in the verification of final dispensed product, prescriptions for filling, monitoring, managing, and tracking workflow, patient consultations, and handling patient issues (resolving missing supplies, medication issues, etc.).

·         Responsible for ensuring that all packages are shipped appropriately and in a timely manner.

·         Assist in developing new clinical programs for disease states as needed

·         Provide pharmaceutical care to patients in collaboration with other health care professionals.

·         Completes projects and responsibilities assigned by executive management.

·         Validate, verify, and evaluate prescription orders for accuracy, validity, and appropriateness.

·         Comply with federal and state laws when preparing and dispensing prescriptions.

·         Participating in appropriate training, seminars, and workshops.

·         As part of the quality management program, participants are expected to monitor processes, analyze data, implement interventions to improve, and evaluate the results. 

·         As required, perform additional duties.
