Job DescriptionJob Description

Valor Home is looking for a responsible Operations Assistant / Bookkeeper to perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks related to general operations and accounts payable. Duties of the position include providing project support, assisting in daily office needs and organizing our company's general activities.

To be successful in this role, the candidate must be confident, well organized, accurate and have great time management skills. The ideal candidate has excellent communication skills and is a strategic thinker. They will be problem solvers, self-motivated and be able to work well within a cross-functional team environment.

JOB REQUIREMENTS/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Accounts payable, receivable, and reconciliations
  • Reconcile vendor accounts to ensure proper management - research outstanding issues/discrepancies
  • Maintain electronic filing systems and company-wide directories, lists and reports.
  • Keep detailed meeting notes and assist with scheduling
  • Support team members in completing their tasks to ensure they meet milestones
  • Collate and distribute mail, as necessary
  • Special projects, as necessary.


SKILLS AND ABILITY:

  • Quickbooks experience is required
  • Accuracy and attention to detail is a must
  • 2+ years accounting or bookkeeping experience desired
  • Proficiency in MS Office products (MS Outlook, Excel and Word, in particular)
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills


EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: An associate degree or greater degree in accounting or business is desired, but will consider relevant experience and course work.
