Senior Tax Accountant

Location: In Office – DFW Area, Flower Mound, Texas

$65k to $85k plus incentives | Not another boring CPA firm

Being paid to sit for 12 hours straight to fill numbers in boxes is not motivating.

So, we’ve decided to revolutionize the industry and finally make preparing taxes fun and rewarding.

We, at Williams & Kunkel CPAs, are no longer a compliance only firm. Instead, we offer a new service called Tax Advisory Service. (or TAS)

Our firm works with realtors, independent contractors, and professional service providers who have been overpaying their taxes. We properly plan for their taxes throughout the year and get the chance to showcase real tax savings when we deliver their return.

So, what goes into tax advisory services? We focus on minimizing taxes by implementing some very basic tax reduction strategies. Some of these include:

  • Entity & Compensation optimization
  • Workhorse Strategies (Augusta, Accountable Plan, Fringe Benefits, etc.)
  • Retirement Optimization
  • And much more

Because we add tangible value to our clients through proactive tax planning, we have happy clients who are happy to pay for the excellent service and the ROI we bring in the form of tax savings.

You’ll be a great fit if:

  • You enjoy adding value to people’s lives and making people happy.
  • You have a solid understanding as well as working experience with small business taxes.
  • You would be comfortable reviewing and presenting tax returns to clients and managing client relationships.
  • You would be delighted to prepare or review tax returns that showcase the substantial tax savings and provide our clients with a huge ROI.
  • You would be excited about a ground floor opportunity to move into management within 6 months.

To be considered, you’ll need:

  • 3+ years in public accounting and federal income tax preparation experience.
  • A CPA license or EA license ( you would be very interested in acquiring these credentials).
  • Business, Finance or Accounting Degree preferred.
  • Good people skills and the ability to interface with clients.
  • Excellent communication skills and a burning desire to help people save taxes and improve their financial future.
  • A strong drive for personal and professional growth.
  • An unwavering passion for identifying opportunities that enable clients to maximize their wealth through tax savings.
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively within a distributed team.
  • A sense of urgency in meeting goals and delivering results.
