Russell Tobin's client, a social media services company, is hiring for a UX Researcher to work remotely

We are looking for a UX Researcher to join the Ad Formats team. You’ll work alongside product management, engineering, design, product marketing, data science, and content strategy to create impactful new features for Pinners and advertisers.

Employment Type: Contract/Remote

Pay rate: $65 - $73/hr, DOE

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research that varies in approach, scale, scope, timeframe and methodologies (may include ethnographic, interview, participatory workshops, usability, surveys, data analysis) with the goal of to improving the Pinner and advertiser experience with ads on Client
  • Proactively communicate and share your research findings with team members, executives, and other audiences in compelling, actionable, and engaging ways
  • Lead research projects from beginning to end (including recruiting, moderation and report writing both independently and with vendor partners) both independently and in partnership with a senior researcher
  • Collaborate with different disciplines to set vision, inform strategy, and guide implementation across the Monetization organization
  • Be the advocate for business users while balancing the needs of cross-functional partners’ perspectives and the company’s results

Requirements:

  • 2-3 years’ experience designing and conducting end-to-end product research (from recruitment through final deliverable) in complex product domains (e.g. ads, shopping, business, fintech)
  • Experience with research tools such as Qualtrics or Decipher
  • Knowledge of SQL or any programming language
  • Ability to lead research work autonomously
  • Comfort with working in ambiguous or evolving environments
  • Strong experience in running and leading end-to-end research projects
  • Translate vague inquiries from XFN team to a strong research brief/research question
  • Ability to lead autonomously with minimal oversight; understand and guide stakeholders and executing work/delivering on a timely manner
  • Experience contributing to cross-functional teams to drive changes with research insights, excellent communication and collaboration skills

Nice to have:

  • Previous experience in ad tech
  • Work exp with Companies like Google, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok, and Reddit
  • Familiarity with experiments and quantitative data is a plus.
