We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Certified Veterinary Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will work alongside our veterinarians to provide exceptional care to our patients, assist in a variety of medical procedures, and ensure that our clinic operates smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and other medical procedures
- Perform routine laboratory tests, including bloodwork and urinalysis
- Take digital radiographs, including dental radiographs
- Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as prescribed by the veterinarian
- Monitor patients before, during, and after surgical procedures, including anesthesia monitoring
- Provide compassionate care and education to clients regarding their pets’ health and wellness
- Maintain accurate and thorough medical records
- Ensure the clinic is clean, organized, and well-stocked at all times
- Support the team in maintaining a collaborative and positive work environment
Qualifications:
- Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) license in the state of Wisconsin, or eligibility to obtain licensure
- Strong technical skills, including proficiency in anesthesia monitoring, radiology, laboratory procedures, and client communication
- Compassionate and patient-oriented with a strong focus on client education
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A positive attitude and a commitment to working as part of a team
- Experience with Cornerstone practice management software is a plus, but not required
