The Hotel Indigo is currently seeking a dynamic, experienced and motivated individual for the position of Gourmet Sous Chef at our StepStone Hospitality managed room hotel. This candidate should demonstrate excellent organizational & communication skills; a strong proficiency in multi-tasking with hospitality operations experience essential. A Texas Food Handler Certification is required. Must have experience in an A la carte restaurant. Must be able to sauté', fry, grill, and multi-task. Cook tickets to order. Ability to follow written and verbal direction.

Requirements:

· At least 2 years of experience as a Sous Chef

· Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures

· Excellent record of kitchen and staff management

· Accuracy and speed in handling emergency situations and providing solutions

· Familiar with industry’s best practices
