Mining Equipment Operator

We are currently hiring an experienced Mining Equipment Operator with a work history in Production for Gravel and Sand Mining.
Job Summary: A Mining Equipment Operator is responsible for operating heavy machinery used in mining operations. This role requires experience with various equipment, including excavators, payloaders, and crushing machines. The operator ensures safe and efficient operation of the equipment while following industry standards and company protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Equipment Operation:
o Operate excavators, payloaders, and crushing machines to extract, load, and transport materials within the mining site.
o Safely maneuver equipment in tight spaces, around obstacles, and on uneven terrain.
o Perform routine maintenance checks on machinery to ensure proper functioning.
2. Material Handling:
o Load and unload materials (such as ore, gravel, or rock) using the appropriate equipment.
o Transport materials to designated areas within the mine or processing plant.
3. Safety and Compliance:
o Always adhere to safety protocols and guidelines.
o Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safety procedures.
o Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards promptly.
4. Quality Control:
o Monitor material quality during extraction and loading.
o Ensure that materials meet specified standards and are suitable for processing.
5. Documentation:
o Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, maintenance, and production.
o Complete daily logs and reports as required.
Qualifications:
o Experience operating heavy equipment, including excavators, payloaders, and crushing machines.
o Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
o Knowledge of mining safety regulations and best practices.
o Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues and perform minor repairs.
o Physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions.
o Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
Applicants must pass a pre-employment background check, drug screen, and have professional references available. Salary is negotiable based on experience.
Job Type: Full-time - Day shift, Monday to Friday, Saturday and Overtime as needed.
