To ensure quality product is manufactured and tested in accordance with released documented processes, standards, and procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Plan and perform internal audits to ISO 9001 standards, internal procedures and other requirements.
  • Manage Corrective and Preventative Action, Calibration, Non-conforming Material and other Quality programs as assigned.
  • Review and approve engineering documents during the release and revision processes.
  • Develop, implement and improve new and existing ISO 9001 compliant procedures, processes and work instructions.
  • Manage company Approved Supplier List, coordinate and perform supplier audits, and improve supplier performance and product quality.
  • Lead assigned company Quality Improvement Meeting Units to identify and develop continuous improvement plans.
  • Monitor inspection, test, and field performance data to perform defect trend analysis and develop corrective action plans as appropriate.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education / Experience:

The ideal candidate would hold a Bachelor’s degree in a technical field, with a minimum of 5 years experience in Manufacturing Quality Assurance in an ISO 9001/AS9100 environment.

  • Must have demonstrated, practical experience with job duties described above.
  • Candidate must be competent in Quality control methods, including failure analysis, trend analysis and process analysis.
  • Strong background in technical writing is a must with strong computer skills required, including Microsoft Office.
  • Additional experience and certification in Lean, Six Sigma, ASQ QE, or other recognized Quality certifications are desirable.
  • Experience with Radio Frequency, Electronics and Navigational Aids is preferred.

  • Must maintain consistency throughout the quality process.
  • Must have excellent decision making abilities.
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
