Yakult USA, the world’s leading probiotic drink manufacturer located in Fountain Valley, CA, is hiring for Logistics Coordinator. Ideal candidates have at least 3 years of logistics experience in a manufacturer/trucking company with some supervisory experience. Refrigerated Logistics experience is a must.

  • Location: Fountain Valley, CA
  • Direct Hire with Excellent Benefit Package: Medical / Dental / Vision / Life Insurance, 401K with matching, Paid Holiday & PTO
  • Work Hours: Monday – Friday, 9:00am – 6:00pm
  • Salary: $32/hr

Requirements of the Logistics Coordinator:

  • 5+ years of logistics experience in a manufacturer or trucking company. Refrigerated Logistics experience is a must.
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience.
  • High School diploma or GED is a must. Bachelor’s Degree in a business-related field a plus.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other appropriate software.
  • Must be detail oriented.
  • Ability to multitask and proper use of time management.
  • Strong interpersonal skills necessary to communicate effectively with customers.

Responsibilities of the Logistics Coordinator:

The Logistics Coordinator oversees all the outbound shipments to be delivered as requested by our customers. The duties also include analyzing all aspects of corporate logistics to determine the most cost-effective and efficient means of transporting products to customers, selecting carriers and researching shipping methods.

  • Manage all customer product orders and deliveries.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Accounting and Production department to manage and to incorporate with company procedures and operations.
  • Develop systems and controls to ensure compliance with logistics standards as well as to find efficient ways for overall logistics operations.
  • Find the most cost-effective and efficient means of transporting products to customers and events.
  • Plan and control the yearly and monthly logistics budget.
  • Ensure carrier compliance with company policies and procedures for product transit and delivery.
  • Analyze delivery quality such as on-time delivery rate and damage rate and feedback to carriers.
  • Select carriers and negotiate contracts and rates.
  • Address delivery issues and ensure effective and long-term problem resolution.
  • Act as central point of contact for all logistics issues.
  • Trask sales per customer, create sales reports weekly, monthly base.
  • Investigate customer’s claim and handle action to avoid the same claim.
  • Act as a central point of Credit memo, deduct form sales to finalize sales numbers.
  • Supervise Logistics staff, including hiring, performance management, and training using effective leadership skills.
  • Other related duties.
