Job description
POSITION SUMMARY
The Brand Ambassador is responsible for executing QCC’s ambassador program in New Jerey. This individual’s goals include supporting the organization’s brand portfolio sales across all dispensaries and stores by activating retail and marketing initiatives, completing retail operations tasks as well as actively contributing to building influential company culture with employees and retailers on the field. The expected work hours can range between 4 - 6 hours bi-weekly - you will be notified between 3 - 5 days in advance where and when you will be expected to report. This position will report to the Field Marketing Manager.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (included, but not limited to)
1. Training | Ambassador Team
- Facilitates brand training, demos/PADs, events, and workshops for ambassadors and sales teams along with conducting impactful on-the-field hands-on training with store teams.
- Trains store teams on executing an engaging customer experience, build customer rapport, brand awareness, meet in-store sales goals through marketing and sales initiatives, and maintaining merchandising brand standards for retail partnerships.
- Completes and documents store visits, PADs, trainings, and events to identify training and sales opportunities with the ambassador team.
- Effectively communicates brand story and product talking points to deliver a consistent brand narrative according to our brand standards.
2. Retail Operations | Ambassadors, Retailers, Executive Team, and Salespersons
- Consistently sources, analyzes, and applies data, best practices and learnings to enhance retail programming and grow overall ambassador sales conversions. Provides weekly, monthly, and annual reporting as directed by manager.
- Effectively communicates issues between retailers and select departments (Retail Operations, Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain, and Executive) regularly to ensure operational accuracy, practical training, and brand execution is at the highest level at Clade9 and retailers.
- Maintains sample and swag/merch inventory control in collaboration with other brand ambassadors – duties include communicating needs of purchase orders, product promos, removal of degraded product in stores, maintenance of visual merchandising standards, coordinating training and seeding samples, and ensures accuracy for inventory offerings on in-store and online menus.
3. Planning and Executing | Retail Demos, Events and Merchandising
- Ideates and implements creative, premium, productive, and efficient retail demo/PAD programs, events, and merchandising standards based on Marketing and Sales initiatives.
- Works with and actively communicates with Marketing to produce weekly ambassador schedules, training, and mission plans.
- Understands merchandise flow standards, store organization, and how it affects floor set execution, replenishment, and recovery of overall in-store brand experience.
- Executes the demo/PAD and training calendar effectively, while actively communicating and collaborating with Marketing and Sales on strategies based on field reporting from the field.
- Establishes trust amongst retail partners and supports by communicating areas of opportunities and business needs to Sales and Marketing in required reporting.
- Responsible for the execution of brand standards, communicating brand messaging, and visual merchandising guides to positively impact overall business results in all retail and brand partnerships.
4. Motivating | Field Performance and Culture
- Promotes and embodies a culture of teamwork by working alongside Sales and Marketing to establish and execute business priorities while delivering effective feedback.
- Provides exemplary leadership, training, guidance, and support to the ambassador team while focusing on continuous learning and improvement in the performance of the sales at retail stores.
5. Take on additional responsibilities as needed and/or as directed.

PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT/WORKING CONDITIONS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Employees may experience the following physical demands for extended periods of time:
- Handle, feel and reach with hands and arms.
- Sitting, standing and walk.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
- Drive to events and stand for 3-6 hours at a time in-store.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 1-2 years of cannabis and/or CPG field experience required
- BA in marketing, business, communications, or related field highly preferred
- Experience in measuring and recapping ROI, plus scaling best practices desired
- Proven experience with field marketing operations – sampling teams, sales, managing, events, merchandising
- Must have a valid Driver's License, Vehicle insurance and/or reliable transportation
