Quality Lab Technician

The Quality Lab Technician will assist in testing and data review of raw material, finished products and production runs. This candidate will work directly with quality control technicians and manufacturing to ensure the quality parameters are being met.


Responsibilities:

  • Perform product deflection and impact testing
  • Perform testing for melt index, density and color
  • Conduct and report internal audits and evaluations
  • Monitor shift production reports
  • Daily data entry
  • Run weekly quality and production reports
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements:

· Associate’s Degree in related field of study or 2 years prior work experience in quality control.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office

· Math skills

· Knowledge of lab testing and reporting

· Ability to quickly respond to issues

· Understanding of quality trends

· Knowledge in the use of measuring devices (ex. Calipers and micrometers)

· rotating shift schedule of days/afternoons/nights

· Overtime is required as needed

· Weekend work is required during busy seasons

· Other duties as assigned
