Job DescriptionJob Description

We are seeking a Construction Site Superintendent (Contractor) to lead our ground up multifamily project located in Pasadena. The project consists of building a new 2,000 square foot wood frame multifamily building on top of a new carport. There will be two units, each having 3-bedrooms and 2-bathrooms. The building is permitted and we intend on beginning construction within 2-months. This is a temporary position specific to this project. However, firm is going through plan check for other developments in the City, so there may be additional job opportunities.

Requirements

  • Understanding of wood frame, 2-story construction
  • Minimum of 5 years experience building similar multifamily or residential projects
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Strong ability to read structural and architectural drawings

 

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of the project
  • Coordinate subcontractors
  • Supervise subcontractors and review their invoices / pay applications
  • Coordinate with City Inspection staff and ensure safety standards and code requirements are upheld
  • Create a construction schedule and manage the project to complete within the decided time frame
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of construction site so as to not disturb neighbors and current residents of neighboring multifamily building
  • Coordinate closely and provide updates with firm owner
