- As a Loan Processor, you will be responsible for ensuring new loan applications are prepared for processing or underwriting while adhering to standard turn times. You will work closely with various internal departments and external organizations to obtain necessary documentation and information needed to complete an application.
- Maintain effective communication with all parties involved in a new loan application process
- Obtain processing related documentation such as Verification of Employment, IRS Transcripts, Title Search, appraisal, FHA case assignments
- Notify necessary parties of any irregularities relative to standard mortgage guidelines
- Monitor incoming loan conditions via email, fax, or mail
- Review system to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and guidelines
- Adhere to compliance/operational risk controls in accordance with Company or regulatory standards
- Promote diversity and reflect the brand
- Maintain internal control standards and address any audit points or issues raised by external regulators
- Complete other related duties as assigned
- High School diploma or GED
- One year prior clerical, customer service, operations, or financial services industry experience
- Good PC skills with knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and email software programs
- Ability to make sound decisions based on information provided
- Knowledge of Product, Investor, and Compliance requirements
- Versatility and flexibility working in a fast paced mortgage environment
- Ability to work independently within time constraints
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Associates Degree preferred
