Job DescriptionJob Description

Responsible for assisting the dentist in the clinical treatment of patients.  This includes preparing patients, sterilizing, and disinfecting instruments, setting instrument trays, preparing materials, and assisting dentist during dental procedures. 

DUTIES:

  • Patient management 
  • Greet and escort patients
  • Set up rooms for procedures 
  • Anticipate and assist dentist
  • Mix dental material
  • Chart patients and record data

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Knowledge of dental terminology 
  • Understand and comply with HIPAA
  • Complete coursework in dental instruments and procedures
  • Possess computer skills for general office and dental specific software

EDUCATION:

High School Diploma or GED, graduate of accredited dental assisting program and dental experience preferred.
