Machine Operator
Manufacture machined product by operating Vertical and Horizontal Machining Centers. Prepare quality checks on product coming out of machines using prints and common inspection equipment. Complete common benchwork task using hand tools as needed and within the scope of their training.

General summary

Duties and Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities:

  • Operate CNC Vertical and Horizontal Machining Centers per company SOPs
    • Part change out, part inspection, suggest tooling adjustments, change tooling
  • Complete product inspection checks on finished machined parts per quality documents
  • Complete tasked bench work operations per SOP-Operator (Bench work processes/procedures and etiquette) including but not limited to:
    • Deburring, Assembly, Grinding, Broaching
  • Keep record of time/quantity for work completed on production order steps

Secondary responsibilities:

  • Basic machine maintenance per SOP-Operator (Maintenance)
  • Keep workstations clean and organized per SOP-Operator (Bench work processes/procedures and etiquette)
  • Maintain organization on machine benches regarding tools and inspection kits per SOP-Operator (EPI procedures)
