Facilitator School Improvement Lead

Job Duty/Resp. 1:
Advises school administration, teachers, parents, and students (a.k.a. School Improvement Team) in Priority Schools on the development and implementation of school improvement strategies and plans to improve student performance and overall school culture to ensure school’s compliance with the Local, State and Federal laws, regulations and guidelines.
Job Duty/Resp. 2:
Provides stakeholders with professional development relating to school improvement planning processes, including data analysis, budgeting, procurement, and evaluation, along with and local, federal and/or state regulations regarding the allocation and use of resources.
Job Duty/Resp. 3:
Supports the development, creation, analysis and evaluation of consolidated school budgets and expenditures to optimize the allocation of resources and to ensure compliance with Local, State and Federal laws, regulations and guidelines. Compares planned versus actual expenditures and advises school on future expenditures to optimize performance outcomes.
Job Duty/Resp. 4:
Assists school improvement teams in setting appropriate evaluation measures and targets for the school improvement plan by analyzing school level summative data.
Job Duty/Resp. 5:
Participates in departmental team meetings to establish best practices, communicate and discuss changing laws, regulations, policies, procedures, evidence-based strategies and tools to enhance school improvement.
Job Duty/Resp. 6:
Serves as a liaison between individual schools and various stakeholders within District leadership.
Job Duty/Resp. 7:
Analyzes progress reporting data compiled by schools that will be reported back to the federal and state governments.
Job Duty/Resp. 8:
Instructions: Fill in all blanks and dropdowns.Kronos access questions must be completed for payroll.
Education and Experience Requirements
Education (training/degree) : Required minimum: Bachelor’s Degree Bachelors’ degree in education or related field of study. Preferred: Master’s degree in education or related field of study.
Experience Requirements: Three years’ teaching and/or administration experience in K-12 education required.Experience in data analysis and/or school-level budgeting preferred.
Licenses, Certifications or Registrations Required: Current Tennessee Teacher’s license.
Skills Required: Data analysis and program evaluation

Mathematical Requirements:
Level 3: Uses basic algebra calculating variables and formulas, and/or basic geometry, calculating plane and solid figures; may compute discounts, interest, ratios and proportions, and percentages.
Communications Requirements:
Level 5: Reads professional publications; composes complex reports and manuals; speaks formally to small groups within and outside the organization.
Complexity of Work:
Level 5: Performs coordinating work involving guidelines and rules with constant problem solving; requires continuous, close attention for accurate results or frequent exposure to unusual pressure.
Impact of Decisions:
Level 4: Makes decisions with moderately serious impact - affects work unit and may affect other units or citizens.
Equipment Usage (if applicable):
Level 1: Handles machines, tools, equipment, or work aids involving little or no latitude for judgment regarding attainment of standard or in selecting appropriate items.
Safety of Others:
Level 1: Requires no responsibility for the safety and health of others.
