We are partnering with our client who is seeking an Internal Auditor. You will conduct audits of corporate and property functions, perform Sarbanes-Oxley 404 audits, and support external audits. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary $120,000 to $140,000 per year.
Job Description:
Identify potential ESG risks and opportunities within operations and develop strategies for mitigation and maximization.
Ensure ESG policies and procedures are documented and recommend improvements.
Assess process and controls documentation to identify gaps for various disclosures.
Audit disclosure metrics for relevancy, accuracy, timeliness, and consistency.
Maintain an inventory of disclosure requirements.
Cross-train internal audit team members on ESG audits.
Collaborate with corporate and operational personnel to develop recommendations for internal control and process improvements.
Requirements:
Strong understanding of ESG principles, frameworks, and reporting standards.
Excellent analytical, written/verbal communication, and relationship-building skills.
Ability to work independently, adapt to change quickly, multitask in a deadline-oriented environment, and collaborate with various stakeholders.
Initiative to address problems and make continuous process improvements.
Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance.
5+ years of audit experience, with at least one year in ESG.
3+ years of SOX experience required.
