SCALE OPERATOR ADMIN Pay rate: $17.00/hour

Leadpoint Business Services has a Scale Operator Admin position available for immediate hire at our location in Sarasota, FL.

This is a full-time, permanent position in an industry that helps the environment and protects the planet. You’ll have the chance to start right away and move up over time.

The Scale Operator Admin is responsible for helping to maintain the day-to-day operation

and administrative duties associated with operation of the scale(s) and office assistant

functions. This position requires a detail-oriented person able to maintain focus in a fast pace processing plant.

HOURS M-F 9:00am-5:00pm

Some Holidays/ Some Saturdays required

Availability/ Flexibility to provide coverage as needed for vacations (between the hours of 7am-5:30pm M-F)

REQUIREMENTS

· Use computers to enter data and process information

· Detail oriented in obtaining, documenting and recording information from all relevant sources

· Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast paced environment

· Ability to work well in a noisy environment

· Organized and punctual

· Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)

· HS diploma or equivalent

· This position reports directly to the Office Supervisor and must be able to function with minimal supervision

· A positive attitude is essential

· Interact with truck drivers, haulers, vendors, customers in a friendly and professional manner

DUTIES

· Operate scale house computers to obtain weight information for incoming recycle haulers and outbound shipments.

· Compare scale tickets and bills of lading to verify accuracy of shipment contents and weights

· Operates traffic control devices to allow vehicles to proceed to tipping area and exit from facility

· Issues receipts to vehicle driver and collects tickets

· Maintain accurate overall record keeping for reporting and analysis

· Use of radio communications with worksite operators

· Communicating with haulers and truck drivers

· Communicating with Supervisors and Peers, providing information to supervisors and co-workers by telephone, written form, and email and in person.

· Performing day to day administrative tasks such as maintaining information files and processing paperwork.

· Maintain, monitor, and clean work areas, counters, windows and area around scale house

· Follows company safety policies and procedures to prevent injuries and accidents
