One of our clients is seeking a Buyer to be the primary support of assigned business managers

The Buyer opportunity is a full-time, direct hire position where you will earn up to $65k per year, based on your experience. You will work flexible daytime hours Monday – Friday in a hybrid setting.

Some of your responsibilities as Buyer will include reporting to the Commercial Operations Manager as well as:

  • Managing inventory of assigned products
  • Buying authority for assigned products
  • Warehouse and intercompany transfers
  • Compiling forecast data
  • Purchase order entry and follow up
  • Researching/Resolving supplier invoice differences
  • Railcar management
  • Batch assignment of inventory to sales orders
  • Expediting vendor price verifications and vendor debits and credits
  • Working with logistics and customer service to maintain material
  • Communicating with supplier representatives for pricing, availability and lead times
  • Promoting strong relationships
  • Other duties as assigned

To qualify, you must have a BA degree preferred and/or education and experience and experience equivalent, as well as:

  • 2+ years’ experience in buying or purchasing in a corporate setting
  • Supply chain background/experience
  • Supplier cost knowledge
  • Ability to work well with a team
  • Ability to prioritize tasks/multi-task
  • Microsoft Office and Excel proficiency
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to maintain a professional attitude and positive outlook
