Job Summary:We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Field Safety Representative to join our team. The FSR will be responsible for overseeing safety practices on-site, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations, and fostering a safe working environment. This position involves regular travel to various job sites and requires strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:- Safety Compliance: Ensure that all safety regulations, policies, and procedures are followed on-site, including OSHA standards and company-specific guidelines.
- Site Inspections: Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of job sites, identifying potential hazards, and recommending corrective actions.
- Incident Reporting: Investigate and report any accidents, incidents, or near misses, and work with management to implement corrective measures.
- Training: Conduct safety training sessions for employees, including orientation for new hires, toolbox talks, and refresher courses.
- Safety Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date safety records, including inspection reports, incident logs, and training records.
- Emergency Preparedness: Develop and implement emergency response plans, ensuring all site personnel are familiar with procedures.
- Risk Assessment: Conduct risk assessments to identify potential hazards and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
- Safety Equipment Management: Ensure that all safety equipment is properly maintained, inspected, and available for use.
- Collaboration: Work closely with site supervisors, project managers, and other stakeholders to promote a culture of safety.
- Regulatory Updates: Stay informed about the latest safety regulations and industry standards, and update company policies as needed.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or related field preferred
- Experience: 0 years if Education requirement is met. 5 years if Education requirement is not met.
- Certifications: OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR Certified, or other relevant safety certifications preferred
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and make decisions in high-pressure situations.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to travel to various job sites.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and climb for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry safety equipment.
- Travel: Locally 80%, Overnight 20%
- Work Environment: You will be exposed to the oil and gas, chemical, heavy industrial, and renewable fuels industry. Work locations are exposed to the elements with differing exposure conditions.
