Happyland is a Faith-Based Preschool and Kindergarten.
We are looking for a qualified Kindergarten Teacher to help prepare children for First Grade. You must have great love and patience for children. The goal is to contribute to the healthy mental, emotional, spritual, and academic development of the child so they can succeed in the next level of education.
Responsibilities
- Follow the curriculum and develop creative lesson plans suitable for Kindergarten children
- Employ a variety of educational techniques
- Observe each child to help them develop and improve their academic skills, improve their social competencies, and build self-esteem
- Promote literacy, math, science, and social studies skills
- Guide children to develop their capabilities through carefully constructed lesson plans
- Organize and supervise a classroom for children to ensure they are safe at all times
- Track children’s progress and report to parents
- Listen carefully to parents' requests and concerns and address them as quickly as possible
- Communicate with parents regularly to understand the children’s background and psyche
- Collaborate with other educators
- Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards
Skills
- Preferred experience as a Preschool or Kindergarten Teacher (but not mandatory)
- Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms or willingness to learn
- Good communication and instructional skills
- Ability to act as a mediator between children
- Team player, Cool-tempered, friendly and reliable
Education
- Credential 3.0 Level III through CDECE (PDIS) OR
- Director Qualified in Early Childhood Education OR
- Bachelors Degree in any other area other than those listed above and two three-semester hour courses in ECE, in which one must be Intro to ECE or Guidance Strategies
- Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Ed., Special Ed, Family or Childhood Development, or Child Psychology
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $23.00 per hour
