We are currently seeking a dynamic and dedicated Kindergarten Teacher to join our team for a full-time, hourly contract position in Colorado Springs, CO.
Position Overview: As a Kindergarten Teacher, you will play a vital role in creating a positive and engaging learning environment for young students. You will be responsible for implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum, fostering social-emotional growth, and providing differentiated instruction to meet the diverse needs of all learners.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver effective lessons that align with the kindergarten curriculum and state standards.
- Create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment that promotes active participation and student success.
- Assess student progress and use data to inform instruction and individualized interventions.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and administrators to support student learning and development.
- Implement classroom management strategies that promote positive behavior and a supportive learning community.
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress, behavior, and upcoming events.
- Participate in professional development opportunities and staff meetings as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
- Valid Colorado Teaching License with appropriate endorsements for kindergarten.
- Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices and evidence-based instructional strategies.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and administrators.
- Commitment to fostering a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment for all students.
