About the Role:

American Tin Ceilings is a growing manufacturer in the Bradenton, FL area that is currently seeking a qualified candidate to serve as Stamping Press Setup/Operator. This position will be responsible for performing general physical activities including but not limited to setup and teardown of tooling in stamping presses, loading, unloading, stacking, counting, and moving products and shipments by hand, pallet jack or forklift to support stamping production.

  • Location: On-Site – Bradenton, FL
  • Reports to: Production Lead – Stamping
  • Hourly Rate: $17.00 - $22.00 (experience & interview performance will determine actual number within the range).
  • Schedule: 1st Shift: 7am - 4pm, Monday - Friday

Responsibilities:

  • Ability to comply with safety procedures.
  • Perform visual safety inspections of equipment and machinery.
  • Reliable, Responsive, and Committed to Quality.
  • Arrives at work on time daily with an optimistic mentality.
  • Ability to understand and execute instructions.
  • Effectively setup and operate stamping presses.
  • Perform visual quality inspections of stamped products.
  • Make tooling adjustments to ensure product quality is at an acceptable level.
  • Assist in performing preventative equipment maintenance as directed.
  • Maintain a clean and well-organized workstation.
  • Comply with all safety programs including those related to production such as press guarding, lock out/tag out, personal protective equipment, fire and electrical safety, and hearing.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • 1+ year related work experience in a stamping press role or similar.
  • Knowledge of equipment safety standards.
  • Possess organizational, problem solving, and time management skills.
  • Willingness to learn new skills.
  • Detail oriented and able to work in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Forklift certification is a plus.
  • Mechanically inclined.
  • Interested in growth within the company and willing to invest the effort.

Physical Aspects:

  • Ability to stand, bend, and repeatedly lift in excess of 60 lbs.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, squat, push, and pull parts and part containers.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled warehouse production environment.
