Responsibilities:

  • Install and weld ductwork components according to blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
  • Perform MIG and TIG welding techniques on various types of metals used in HVAC ductwork, including galvanized steel, stainless steel, and black iron.
  • Ensure all welding work meets industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with HVAC technicians and installers to ensure accurate assembly and installation of ductwork.
  • Maintain welding equipment and tools in good working condition.
  • Inspect completed ductwork assemblies to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Follow safety procedures and protocols at all times to prevent accidents and injuries.

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of experience as a welder, preferably in HVAC ductwork installation.
  • Proficiency in MIG and TIG welding techniques.
  • Experience working with stainless steel and black iron.
  • Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Must own tools and required PPE for welding
  • Knowledge of different types of metals and their welding characteristics.
  • Strong attention to detail and precision.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
  • Commitment to safety guidelines and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification or training in welding techniques.
  • Previous experience specifically in HVAC ductwork welding.
  • Familiarity with HVAC systems and components.
