Job DescriptionJob Description
  • Efficiently schedule and dispatch vehicles; address dispatch-related deviations with clients when necessary
  • Respond to customer service requests with availability of vehicles for specified customer pick up times and locations
  • Monitor any sudden route changes or road construction issues and work with drivers to establish new routes
  • Reconfirm all reservation details when clients call
  • Manage performance and day to day operations of the dispatching department
  • Assist in the recruitment, onboarding, and training of newly hired dispatch agents
  • Manage and report on team performance and department progress
  • Communicate with drivers to prioritize loads, define routes and set schedules
  • Monitor containers to prevent demurrage and storage fees
  • Accepting & scheduling loads and providing excellent customer service
  • Make routing decisions that satisfy customer expectations and company financial decisions
  • Ensure that shipping data is entered into system timely and accurately

Requirements:

  • A strong trucking/brokerage/logistics background
  • An ability to thoroughly learn complex computer systems

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Overtime
  • Weekends as needed

Work Location: In person
