We are seeking a Service Technician to join our team You will maintain and repair Gas, wood, electric, pellet burning appliances as well as Hot tubs.

Pay Structure:

  • Starting hourly pay is $23-$25 and once you're running the department you will be making $30 an hour.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform in home repairs for Gas, Wood and pellet burning Equipment
  • Troubleshoot with equipment owner over phone and email.
  • Perform in home hot tub repairs
  • Coordinate and track all warranty items and labor
  • Respond to work order requests in a timely fashion
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures
  • Maintain service equipment and vehicles
  • Ability to coordinate other technicians 

​Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in fireplace, spa or other related fields
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Familiarity with hand tools and equipment
  • Ability to handle physical workload
  • Clean driving record
  • Ability to communicate to customers and team members
  • Ability to be self-motivated and complete tasks in a timely manner
  • Ability to read and understand product manuals

Because of our size, we can pick and choose the products we want to carry, providing our customers with some of the best products the industry has to offer. Many of our best-selling products are “Minnesota made” which we are very proud of that fact. In addition, several of our products are "Made in the USA". We pride ourselves that the products we both sell and service have that distinction.

We invite you to visit our showroom at the intersection of Hwy 53 and Arrowhead Road, next to Menards in Hermantown, Minnesota, where we have over 40 fireplaces on display, all burning for your view and inspection. We also carry an extensive inventory of home accessories. Everything we carry is sure to add warmth, comfort, and value to your home.

While we are very proud of the products we carry, we are even more excited to tell you about our staff. We employ over 10 individuals at Energy Plus, all industry trained and experienced in helping customers find the right product to fit their home and lifestyle. With their expertise, we can service what we sell and are the only fireplace retailer in the area who has been doing our own installations for over 40 years.
