Automated Gate Technician

You might be the ideal candidate to fill the position of our Low Voltage Access Control and Automated Gate Service Technician In addition to training other technicians, you will be in charge of installing Access Controls, Security Cameras, and Automated Gates in residences and commercial buildings. Every day is unique for our technicians because they work on renovations, new installations, and repairs. You will represent our company and interact with customers every day in all of our service areas, so you must be able to provide top-notch service. Do you have a technical education certification or Low Voltage License in the State of Georgia? We are paying Sign on Bonuses for Experienced Certified Technicians. Excellent pay (including overtime and participation in bonus program, paid vacation and Holidays) and benefits package. Pay based on experience and proficiency level. A full-time position that will require some on-call nights and weekends and after-hours calls to be performed as needed.

$28 - $40 hourly

• Make use of our software for taking notes, generating quotes, and producing invoices
• Be punctual for all appointments and work hard to exceed customer expectations
• Perform a thorough inspection and accurate diagnosis of any problems with the existing system, then present the customer with their available options
• Take part in all workplace functions, and follow all policies and procedures
• Ensure that measurements and locations for openings are correct on larger jobs

• Ensure a Complete system review, system report and complete equipment documentation for customer review and for company knowledge.

• High school diploma or GED required
• Outstanding customer service abilities are required for this position
• Skills in math and the ability to solve problems are required, as is the ability to use a measuring tape
• Must have great communication, listening, and teamwork skills
• Working knowledge of electrical wiring and connections

• Ability to read electrical layouts for all systems
• 4+ years of experience in the Garage door/Automatic Gate/Access Control Industry or related service industries (i.e. HVAC, Industrial Mechanic, Mechanical Contracting or Electrical Contracting, garage doors)
• Strong electronics background in troubleshooting preferred
• Valid Georgia driver's license, no DUI convictions, and good DMV report
• Have excellent time management and be able to work with limited or no supervision
• Ability to learn a Standard work practice and follow a Standard troubleshooting procedure
• Convey a sense of professionalism in both dress and speech to customers
• Able to read blueprints and electrical schematics
• Mechanically inclined
• Background in electronics and wiring
• Able to do overtime and weekend rotation service call work
• Pass a physical and drug screen
• Automated Gate Experience is a Big plus
• Understanding of Power Tools is a Big plus
