The Opportunity

Our Chicago office is on the lookout for a meticulous and organized Equipment Coordinator to join our team. As the Equipment Coordinator, you'll play a vital role in managing and maintaining our equipment inventory, ensuring it's primed for use in our educational programs and events.


Who You Are

You possess experience in warehouse organization, optimizing space, and overseeing inventory. Physical tasks are no challenge for you; you excel in maintaining stock levels and ensuring warehouse cleanliness. E-commerce proficiency is part of your skill set. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, juggling multiple tasks with precision. A problem-solving mindset and a willingness to take initiative define your work ethic. You're a team player, fostering strong relationships to achieve collective goals.


Your Duties

  • Maintain and prep equipment for instructors conducting hands-on science programs.
  • Organize and manage the warehouse space efficiently.
  • Prepare simple chemicals for classes as needed.
  • Handle office orders and coordinate with other departments.
  • Oversee inventory control and equipment flow.
  • Coordinate equipment exchanges with instructors.


Your Qualifications

  • Some college: additional training in equipment management is advantageous.
  • Prior experience in equipment coordination or inventory management is preferred.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to prioritize effectively.
  • A keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Strong communication abilities and a collaborative spirit.


This position is ideal for someone with some experience in teaching or education who is passionate about ensuring smooth equipment operation and supporting educational endeavors. If you're also willing and able to cover some Mad Science classes as needed, that's a definite plus
