Production Quality Manager

We are a solid team in need of an external compliance influencer. We are financially stable and supported by the resources of a medium-sized multinational parent company.
Key Responsibilities
1. Leads the quality and environmental management systems in the company. Assists in defining and documenting processes and creation of and compilation of monthly reports from all departments within the company for objectives or metrics reporting.
2. Create a culture where Quality is designed and built into the product not bolted on later
3. Drive quality improvements to our production system.
4. Serves as liaison with external customers and auditors on matters relating to the quality and environmental management systems, in the absence of the QA Manager.
5. Effectively maintains, updates and coordinates required activities with responsible personnel on Ion system used for Document Control, Calibration, Training, Suppliers management, Nonconformance Reports (NCR), Customer Survey, Preventive Actions and Management modules.
6. Total oversight over the maintenance of required records per applicable standards (ISO 9001, ISO/TS 16949 and/or ISO 14001) and closely works with other depts. or functions who are responsible for such records.
7. Conducts as scheduled internal system, process and product audits based on ISO 9001, ISO/TS 16949 and ISO 14001 standards or coordinates with 2nd party auditors. This includes scheduling, documentation and issuance of audit results (summary and audit findings, if any) and conduct if required, follow-up for deficient areas or processes found.
8. Completes and submits all statutory and regulatory requirements such as Hazardous Materials permit, Annual EPA ID Number Verification Questionnaire.
9. Performs other activities or functions, as assigned.
Our Team
Our Company is located in Corona, CA. Travel (up to 20%) may be required to Purosil’s Indian and European sister companies. You will lead or guide the activities of all 1st shift quality and production staff. You will report to and gain direction from the General Manager and operate with considerable independence.
You Should Bring
1. A history of consistently achieving key performance indicators and project timelines.
2. Experience leading teams to strive for quality compliance influencing machine operators.
3. Experience growing small businesses by championing change and improvement.
4. A desire to lead people and work effectively as part of a team.
5. Dedication to consistently conduct yourself in a manner consistent with the company culture. We value people who focus on our customers, empower the team, deliver results, deal honestly and openly, take action, and exhibit uncompromising moral character and ethics.
We Need Your Experience to Include
1. Four-year college degree (B.S.). Mechanical, Industrial, or Chemical Engineering is a plus.
2. Must have thorough knowledge, understanding and experience of implementing and maintaining the latest ISO9001, ISO/TS 16949 and ISO 14001 standards.
3. Six Sigma Green Belt required. Black belt a plus.
4. Running Kaizen events to drive quality improvements.
5. Managing a team in a manufacturing, engineering, or quality environment.
6. Manufacturing Quality Experience of at least 5 years in a high volume environment. Automotive or truck experience is a plus.
