Duties & Responsibilities for the Receiving Warehouse Clerk

  • Unpacking and verifying receipts of material.
  • Stocking of material in warehouse.
  • Kitting of material for production.
  • Loading and Unloading Freight
  • Various inventory counts, parts pulls and production support activities.
  • Staging material for inspection.
  • Marginal duties may include the following:
  • Transferring material between facilities.
  • Picking up orders from local suppliers.
  • General warehouse cleaning and organization.
  • Perform year-end inventory.
  • Adherence to Export Control and Technology Control Plan (TCP) as applicable to job function.
  • Adherence to Compliance Plan and Employee Policy Manual

Qualifications of the Receiving Warehouse Clerk

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The qualifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

 

Education and Experience of the Receiving Warehouse Clerk

High School Diploma or GED equivalent; and a minimum of one (1) year of experience in a Receiving/Warehouse role; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.

 

Professional Qualifications of the Receiving Warehouse Clerk

Required:

  • Previous forklift experience.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from colleagues
  • Basic knowledge of MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint; Project and Access as required)
  • Mathematical understanding consistent with the educational requirements
  • Ability to read, write and communicate clearly and effectively in English
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • Ability to use various tools to identify and solve problems
  • Strong customer service and company culture/ reputation orientation

 

Personal Competencies of the Receiving Warehouse Clerk

Physical Demands for the Receiving Warehouse Clerk

Ability to drive a company vehicle per Employee Policy Manual E.7. While performing the duties of this position, the incumbent is regularly required to walk, sit stand and climb. The incumbent is routinely required to stoop, bend, or kneel. The incumbent must regularly lift or carry a maximum of 100 pounds; as well as push or pull a maximum of 200 pounds. The incumbent will regularly use hand tools including but not limited to drills, screwdrivers, tin snips and hammers. The incumbent will regularly use powered equipment including but not limited to computers, drills, forklifts, golf carts and company vehicles.

 

Work Environment of the Receiving Warehouse Clerk

While performing the duties of this position, the incumbent is regularly exposed to mechanical parts and occasionally exposed to dirty working conditions, and heat or cold ranging between 40 and 100-degree ambient conditions. Occasionally works in a dusty environment when working in composites or warehouse storage areas. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. The incumbent is required to wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) including safety glasses, ear plugs, and cloth or leather gloves.

 

Safety/Security/Environmental of the Receiving Warehouse Clerk

  • Supports the company’s FOD (Foreign Object Damage) prevention program
  • Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with OSHA standards.
  • Comply with all Safety policies as outlined by the company standards and local, state and federal laws.
  • In accordance with Robertson Fuel Systems’ Arizona Drug and Alcohol Policy, this position is designated as a safety-sensitive position.
