Position Overview: The Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) will work closely with our licensed Physical Therapists to deliver exceptional care to our patients. This role involves performing manual therapy techniques, assisting with patient exercises, and maintaining accurate documentation using WebPT. The ideal candidate will be motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a high-energy environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Care: Provide hands-on manual therapy to patients, including techniques such as joint mobilizations, soft tissue work, and stretching exercises.

  • Exercise Instruction: Assist patients with their prescribed exercise programs, ensuring proper technique and safety.

  • Documentation: Accurately document patient progress, treatment plans, and other relevant information using WebPT. Ensure all documentation complies with clinic standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Patient Interaction: Build rapport with patients, addressing their questions and concerns while encouraging adherence to treatment plans.

  • Clinic Operations: Assist with the day-to-day operations of the clinic, including equipment setup, cleanliness, and organization.

  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with Physical Therapists and other clinic staff to ensure coordinated care and optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Associate’s Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)

  • Licensure: Current PTA license in Florida.

  • Experience: Previous experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant preferred, but not required. New graduates highly encouraged to apply.

  • Skills:

    • Proficient in using WebPT or similar electronic health record systems.

    • Strong manual therapy skills.

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

    • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
