Our client, a major automotive supplier, is seeking a Professional Maintenance Specialist to join their team in Toledo, OH.

This contract position (possible extension or direct hire for the right candidate) offers a pay rate of $33/hr (benefits are available) and is 100% on-site, M-F. 

Shift: Must be available to work 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift.

Professional Maintenance Specialist Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop Standard Maintenance Procedures (SMPs) for time-based maintenance, MTBF, and equipment conditions.
  • Collaborate with Skilled Trades staff to maintain and restore equipment to basic condition.
  • Ensure SMPs support KPI achievement (MTBF, MTTR, OEE).
  • Resolve equipment issues related to throughput, run-to-run, and downtime in production.
  • Coordinate activities per World Class Manufacturing (WCM) standards.
  • Improve overall equipment effectiveness by planning and executing key maintenance tasks using CMMS - Total Maintenance System (TMS).
  • Lead and participate in kaizen projects focused on Safety, Cost, Quality, Throughput improvements, and waste reduction.

Professional Maintenance Specialist Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of industrial automation experience with project management experience.
  • Ability to work any shift and overtime as required
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Demonstrated troubleshooting problem solving experience
  • Must have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Green Belt/ Red X/ Six Sigma Training - preferred
  • Experience with controls, robotics, drives and system level communication systems, sealing systems, glass cell systems, various conveyance systems, welding - all types, paint process and associated systems, vision systems and sensors use and application. - preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree in technical/engineering field - preferred
