Job Summary:

Are you a skilled Controls/PLC Technician looking to make an impact? Join our team and play a crucial role in maintaining and troubleshooting production facility machines. Your expertise in controls and troubleshooting will help maximize equipment uptime and ensure smooth production operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maximize Equipment Uptime: Resolve electrical and mechanical malfunctions swiftly to keep equipment running efficiently.
  • Install and Maintain: Assist with the installation and operationalization of new electronic/electrical control equipment.
  • Technical Support: Provide essential support to the maintenance department and recommend equipment modifications or replacements.
  • Documentation: Keep electrical drawings and schematics up-to-date and maintain master backups for all machine programs.
  • Support PLCs and Robots: Optimize Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), robots, and Panel Views to enhance quality and production.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to Standards: Maintain current corporate programming standards and improve human-machine interfaces.
  • Drive Improvements: Implement quality improvements to enhance overall production efficiency.

Essential Requirements:

  • Education: Technical School specialization in Electrical Engineering Technology or similar.
  • Experience: 1-3 years in an electronic engineering or electrician role, with experience in the automotive industry preferred.
  • Skills: Ability to program and interface with Allen Bradley drives and control systems. Basic knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems as they relate to controls.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel and work at customer sites, including industrial manufacturing plants.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PLC Programming: Beginner to Intermediate experience with Allen Bradley PLC programming.
  • System Knowledge: Some experience with mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems in relation to controls.
  • HMI Interfaces: Beginner to Intermediate level skills in designing HMI interfaces for optimal operator experience.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to climb, lift, and work in confined spaces as needed.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks and work in various conditions, including noisy environments and hazardous equipment.
