Job DescriptionJob Description

Quality Control - - incoming raw materials & finished products

Research & Development - - develop new products based on customer needs; improve existing products; evaluate competitive products; test new raw materials; prepare small batches to sample new products

Record Keeping - - record test results in production lot books and laboratory notebooks; prepare Certificates of Analysis when requested

Technical Service Calls - - educate customers in basic techniques and uses of silicone rubber; evaluate customer needs and recommend products; assist customers with difficulties; retrieve and retest retain samples to ascertain problems

The successful candidate will be self-motivated, organized, have excellent communication skills, able to follow and perform meticulous testing procedures and maintain accurate records.  The candidate will liaison with other staff including laboratory, production, shipping, office personnel and customers.

 

Bachelor's or Master's degree in a science field; Chemistry with a concentration in silicone polymers is a plus.
