POSITION PURPOSE:

This position is responsible developing and executing social media strategies, managing digital marketing campaigns, developing content, and analyzing data to optimize marketing performance.

NATURE AND SCOPE:

This position reports to the Manager, Strategic Marketing and Communications

The incumbent is responsible for planning, executing, and optimization of digital marketing campaigns supported by traditional media with various platforms. These include, but are not limited to, social media, online search engines, display advertising, and email marketing, uniting all into a unified point of view to create the desired outcomes. One of the key responsibilities of this position is to contribute to APWU Health Plan brand recognition efforts.

The incumbent will analyze marketing data and metrics in order to measure key performance metrics, identify trends, and generate data-driven recommendations for improvement.

This position is responsible for identifying keywords and search terms that align with the target audience’s intent and behavior. Additionally, will continuously expand and refine keyword lists so as to optimize campaign performance.

The position is responsible for staying abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in digital marketing, actively seeking opportunities to innovate and experiment with new strategies and tactics.

The most difficult aspect of this position is cultivating a compelling digital media presence across all platforms, with content ranging from short-form posts to long-form descriptions, Shorts, tweets, video, animation and more.

PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Actively researching new opportunities that will increase visibility of programs in the market.

Develop and implement social media strategies to increase brand awareness, engagement, and reach the target audience.

Collaborate with marketing team to create a social media calendar.

Manage daily campaign optimization, testing, tracking and performance measurement.

Create and distribute content such as brochures, videos and blogs on social media, apwuhp.com and print marketing.

Provide regular reports and insights to the marketing team, highlighting key performance indicators and areas for growth.

Monitor social media and website feedback and identify, research, and respond to comments.

Research and analyze competitor social media and online activity.

Other duties as assigned based on direction from the Manager of Strategic Marketing and Communications.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Marketing, Data Analytics, or a related field or equivalent experience.

Three to five years of proven experience in social media marketing to include the management of professional social media accounts for high-profile programs, brands, or government entities and data-driven analytics.

Must have extreme knowledge and passion for social media networking, including but not limited to: Facebook, X (Twitter), YouTube & Instagram.

Proficient in video editing and content creation.

Computer proficiency in Microsoft applications.

Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication (both verbal and written) skills, along with excellent proofreading skills.

Health insurance experience preferred.
