Job DescriptionJob Description

A manufacturing client located near Germantown is looking for a 2nd shift (1:00pm-9:00pm) Quality Technician that would train on 1st shift for 4-6 weeks. The ideal candidate will work with the Quality Manager to help maintain quality systems and standards.

 

Responsibilities

  • Perform 1st Article check, and daily spot checking of parts to conform to customer requirements
  • Produce Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) on new products
  • Perform daily review of rejects and investigate root cause; Prepare Corrective Action Reports and Preventative Action Reports •
  • Facilitate investigations regarding Customer complaints and internal failures 
  • Provide support to the Customer to resolve Quality issues; Work closely with departments to resolve quality issues
  • Report, input, and effectively analyze quality data from all shifts
  • Audit effectiveness of quality improvement activities and support any updates to plan
  • Facilitate continuous improvement efforts
  • Maintain Quality equipment (gages, computers, etc.). Prepare / set up gauges for next shifts.

Education/ Experience

  • BS or Associates degree or a minimum 3 years related experience
  • Advanced knowledge in computer software for Windows
  • Ability to use gauges, calipers, micrometers,
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written
