 Bilingual (Spanish/English) Receptionist Wanted

 

Location:                   Wilkes-Barre, PA

Shift:                         8:30am to 4:30pm Monday to Friday

Compensation:         $ 17.00 per hour

Status:                    Full or Part-time, non-exempt

 

Job Description: The Receptionist supports the general administrative functions of wide variety of administrative and programs including answering phones/emails, greeting/referring/assisting visitors, customers, staff, or others, preparing documents and reports, and scheduling transportation vehicles as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  1. Answers phones/emails, greet customers, provides direction or information, and solves routine issues.
  2. Fluently speaks, translates, and writes in both Spanish and English. Utilizes these skills to provide customer assistance in the preferred language of their choice.
  3. Receives and distributes office mail including electronic mail.
  4. Communicates routine and general information to staff, customers, and/or public about agency services, processes and procedures using prescribed or established guidelines.
  5. Provides administrative support to program staff/departments as assigned.

Requirement:

·         High school degree or equivalent

·         1-2 years experience performing administrative/receptionist duties.

 

Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

  1. Ability to read and speak in Spanish is REQUIRED.
  2. Must have basic knowledge of general office equipment, tools and software.
  3. Ability to work independently as well as a member of a group/time.
  4. Ability to organize work, set priorities, exercise independent judgement and to demonstrate flexibility in balancing the needs of the department.

Application and Hiring Process

Interviews will be on a rolling basis until the position is filled. Initial applicants will be reviewed beginning on May 29, 2024. Those candidates selected for further consideration will be contacted within five business days of the initial review process to schedule an interview. Interviews may be conducted virtually or in person.

 

Selected candidates must be able to provide three professional references and they will be required to provide and complete a PA Criminal Background Check, FBI Background check, PA Child Abuse Clearance and Drug Screening.
