ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Under general supervision, Reach Truck Operator will ensure safe and accurate receipt, storage, and shipment of food products utilizing equipment including, but not limited to, stand up forklifts, stand up dock loaders, walk, pallet jacks, and radio frequency equipment. Must be able to work in a freezer, dry, or chilled environment.

Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

1. 1) Promote safe work environment through personal actions.

2. 2) Load and unload trucks and containers using equipment provided in safe and efficient manner.

3. 3) Check and count freight for accuracy and/or damage. Take inventory as needed.

4. 4) Direct product to correct area in warehouse.

5. 5) Clear work area of loose wood and plastic, sweep area as needed.

6. 6) Report faulty equipment, damage to racks, and other safety hazards to supervisor.

7. 7) Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum 12 months’ work experience in warehouse or manufacturing environment.

• Ability to become reach truck and forklift certified.

• Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems and Radio Frequency.

  PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Strong teamwork skills.

  • Must be able to work overtime, days and/or evenings, and weekends.

  • Ability to read numbers and labels.

  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to pay close attention to details and meet deadlines.

  • Ability to safely lift up 60 lbs. frequently.

    ADDITIONAL NOTES

    Only qualified candidates with related experience will be considered. Pre-employment Drug Screening, Background Check, and Physical are required.
