Job DescriptionJob Description

Pride Health is hiring a Certified Medical Assistant to support our client’s medical facility based in Dallas, TX

. This is a Contract job with a possible extension opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization

 

Location: Dallas TX

Bilingual Required

 

Schedule: Monday through Friday

8:00 am to 5:00 pm

 

Pay Range: $17-$22.00 (Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.)

 

Responsibilities:

  • Performs duties within the Medical Assistant’s scope, including operating diagnostic equipment, removing staples, changing wound dressings, administering non-IV medications, collecting specimens, performing EKGs, and sterilizing equipment.
  • Rooms patients, prepares them for exams, and records patient care documentation accurately.
  • Coordinates patient care as directed by physicians, maintaining confidentiality and respect.
  • Organizes, stocks, and cleans exam rooms; follows infection control precautions.
  • Conducts intake screening, supports Standard Delegation of Orders (SDO), and performs other assigned duties.

 

 

Must have qualifications/experience:

1.High school graduate or GED equivalent

2.0Current, nationally recognized Medical Assistant certification or the ability to obtain the certification within 180 days of employment. Medical Assistants who are hired prior to receiving their certification are expected to perform at the same level as a “certified” Medical Assistant.

3.Current BLS certification (through an approved American Heart Association Training Center or the Military Training Network) at time of hire or within 30 days of hire

4. Basic computer literacy required, with intermediate Excel skills

5. Knowledge of medical terminology required

6. Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations required

7. Good communication and customer service skills required
