Newport law firm is looking to hire an office administrator to handle administrative, as well as bookkeeping and/or accounting matters.
We offer a great, fast-paced work environment with our offices located in the center on Newport Beach.
Our ideal candidate will have:
- Familiarity with file organizing.
- Bookkeeping or accounting experience preferably in law firms.
- Familiarity with Quickbooks and other accounting softwares.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Meticulous attention to detail and record-keeping skills
- Strong understanding of accounting and financial operations
- Proficiency with bookkeeping software like QuickBooks, Clio, Excel, and others.
- Capacity to quickly perform calculations
- Comfort working with spreadsheets and other reports.
Objectives of this role
- Organizing files and tasks.
- Taking short notes, transcription, and other dictation.
- Preparing and maintaining daily operational ledgers.
- Preparing daily and periodic operational reports.
- Recording daily transactions
- Maintaining timely communications with clients
- Filling out tax forms and work with accountants to ensure compliance
- Managing accounts payable and receivable, as well as payroll
- Assisting with or manage any other tasks as needed.

- Bookkeeping certification or license
- Capacity to follow instructions and standard procedures
